Congratulations to Joseph (Joe) Lynch from Pershore College. Joseph, studying for his Level 3 Diploma in Horticulture, has been selected as one of our 2026 Landscape & Horticulture Students of the Year for the Midlands region.
Balancing his timber and gardening business alongside his college studies, Joe has demonstrated his organisation skills, time management and dedication. His tutor nomination highlighted his mature attitude and commitment int both written and practical assignments, and particularly highlighted how he used his own knowledge and insight to helpfully guide others in peer-to-peer sessions.
Not afraid to question normal conventions and processes, Joe has clear ambitions to develop his current business further and has been managing to balance this with his studies whilst still meeting deadlines, travelling and keeping clients happy.
One of Joe’s tutors, Josh Egan-Wyer, Head of School for Horticulture, Land and Animal said:
