BALI Chalk Fund at 50: Diane McCulloch, Team

Diane McCulloch

Working alongside our Trustees, Diane McCulloch is the first voice our Champions and prospective Champions will hear. So we thought we’d hear from her too, in our “BALI Chalk Fund at 50” series – and the image above shows our Diane at Tatton Park Flower Show where she helped Helen Elks-Smith, the garden’s designer, gain Gold and the Peoples Choice Award in a garden created with help from BALI members and suppliers.

What do you wish you knew when you started your career in the landscape sector?

…that it was such a rewarding and creative industry to be working in! The network I’ve forged is bursting with great personalities who I love working with!

How has the fund developed over 50 years?

Momentum has increased so much since I took the role as Champion Support Officer in Feb 2025. The response and support I have received from companies who are committed to supporting and welcoming the work the Chalk Fund does has been phenomenal. Long may we continue to help the industry grow through financial and educational support, generated BY the industry FOR the industry.

This is just one in the latest series of “The BALI Chalk Fund at 50” series of mini-interviews.
