A Brace of Top Students Find Reward

Top students from two UK land based colleges have had their efforts recognised by each receiving certificates and a cheque for £100 from the BALI Chalk Fund.

Brinsbury student Holly Burn received her awards from Chalk Fund Trustee Nick Coslett, Holly displayed outstanding performance throughout the year and her tutors wanted to recognise her effort which has made the most of her significant talent.

YMCA Training run a UK wide apprenticeship scheme and as a registered BALI Training Provider, they are also eligible to nominate a Top Student. Kieran Hutchens works for Suffolk based BALI member Urban Forestry and the YMCA team identified him as their outstanding learner of the year. The Chalk Fund trustees are grateful to BALI Education Officer who made the presentation to on their behalf.

In addition to their individual prizes, both students are now being considered along with the nations other top performers for the national, Top Student of the year award and chance to win a further £500 for both themselves and their training provider, and two tickets to the BALI National Landscape Awards in December, best of luck to both of you.
