College Forum at GroundsFest 2025

BALI Chalk Fund College Forum Groundsfest 2025

Following last year’s successful BALI Chalk Fund College Forum at GroundsFest, the BALI Chalk Fund team will be looking again to engage with more colleges and training providers involved in delivering Landscaping, Horticultural and Garden Design courses across the UK.  This year’s College Forum is for college and training provider tutors, faculty and course leaders. It will take place on Wednesday 10 September on day two of the GroundFest 2025 event.

A fantastic collaboration at GroundsFest

GroundsFest, the largest grounds management event,  offers a multitude of CPD opportunities for tutors as well as offering a superb platform of opportunity for students to explore grounds maintenance and external works sectors. There are live demonstrations, competitions, hands-on sessions and an evening social event within the Programme.

The BALI Chalk Fund College Forum 2025

  • When: Wednesday 10 September 2025

  • Where: GroundsFest, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire

  • Time: 11.00 – 12.30

At the College Forum, attendees will be able to take a rare opportunity to engage with other training and college tutors; sharing and discussing new ideas and comparing plans and activities. The BALI Chalk Fund Trustees and Communication team will be outlining their recent industry successes in the realms of training, career support and enrichment. They will also be updating attendees with the timeline of the 2025/2026 academic year with full details of the funding streams available to all land-based training providers across the UK.

The BALI GoLandscape team will be on hand at the Forum to discuss how they can help your college and support you in promoting career opportunities and recruitment.

College tutors and Course Leads are invited to attend. Confirmation emails should be sent to Lynn Hunter, BALI Chalk Fund Marketing and Communications team.

What the BALI Chalk Fund offers tutors, colleges and students

  • The annual Student of the Year competition with regional winners and the national winner receiving their award at the National Landscaping Awards each December. These winners receive industry recognition, a boost to their confidence (and CVs) and supports their higher profile contribution to the industry.
  • The Course Enrichment programme where grants are awarded to enable colleges to train and certify their students in industry recognised certificates of competence. These extra courses help bridge the gap between academia and work, getting students “work ready” and hence more employable as employers look to plug their skills shortages.
  • BALI Student Membership benefits all students looking to begin their career journey, keeping them up to date and connecting them with future employers and job vacancies.
  • The BALI GoLandscape team will be on hand at the Forum to discuss how they can help your college and support you in promoting career opportunities and recruitment.
