Student Submission window closes
As the Student Submission window closes, the BALI Chalk fund Student of the Year team will begin to review the nominations from BALI student colleges for this academic year. With the increased promotional activity across digital, PR and marketing platforms, entrant numbers have risen by 125%.
The next stage
From Friday 9 May 2025, the Tutor Submission window opens. For each of the shortlisted nominees, Tutors will prepare a support statement. These should be submitted online by Friday 16 May 2025. This second tier of the process requires the tutor or learning provider to nominate the student that, in their opinion has performed above all others in their year group and that they believe will make a positive impact on the industry in the years to come.
The Top Student from each college in each category will be awarded a cash prize and the College can present this at their own awards ceremony. All individual college winners are then entered into the National Top Student pool. The winners will be selected by panel review. There will then be a further reward for the National Winner in each Category, as well as for their College.

Recent winners continue to reap the benefits of their Top Student Awards as they take more prominent positions within the industry. The national winners in each Category will be invited to celebrate their accolades at the 2025 BALI National Landscape Awards in December.
